Pursuant to the power in subsection 20(4) of the Coronavirus Economic Response Package (Payments and Benefits) Act 2020, the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation made the Coronavirus Economic Response Package (Payments and Benefits) Alternative Decline in Turnover Test Rules 2020 determination (Determination).

The Determination includes alternative bases for entities to satisfy the decline in turnover test for the purposes of qualifying for JobKeeper payments. Our summary of the basic test and other JobKeeper eligibility requirements are here.

The table below contains a summary of the alternate tests an entity may utilise when demonstrating its decline in turnover pursuant to Rule 8 of the Coronavirus Economic Response Package (Payments and Benefits) Rules 2020.
