We are seeking a lawyer to work in our Employment Law team. Working with the Principal in the team you will have the opportunity to work with private business owners and key stakeholders of businesses. You will be a customer-centric problem solver who partners with businesses to achieve their commercial outcomes. The team works across all areas of employment law, industrial relations, discrimination harassment, and bullying.

The principal areas of practice of the lawyer in our Employment Law Team will include –

  • Litigation and disputes including unfair dismissal and general protection applications.

  • Preparing employment contracts and workplace policies.

  • Restraint of trade and protection of confidential information.

  • Application and interpretation of modern awards, agreements, and industrial relations legislation.

  • Business restructuring and redundancies.

  • Disciplinary issues and performance management.

The successful candidate will –

  • Be client-focused, hard-working, and motivated;

  • Have good technical skills including the ability to deliver commercial advice and interpret legislation;

  • Be able to work autonomously or as part of the team as required;

  • Be commercially focused with good business acumen;

  • Have strong organisational and time management skills; and

  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
