Maryam Kalif

Maryam is a Lawyer at Sladen Legal in the Employment Law team.

Maryam completed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in History and Literature, at Monash University. She was admitted to practice in 2025.

During her studies, Maryam undertook a range of legal placements, gaining experience in legal research and the analysis of complex legal issues. Through this work, she developed a strong attention to detail and an ability to distil complex legislative and regulatory requirements into clear, practical and commercially focused advice.

Maryam is committed to delivering her clients considered legal support with a focus on achieving efficient and effective outcomes.

Maryam’s key areas of practice include:

• Fair Work Commission process and procedure

• Disciplinary issues and performance management

• The preparation of employment agreements

• All aspects of termination of employment, including defending unfair dismissal claims
