Marketing Coordinator

About the role:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Melbourne on a 12-month contract.

This is a great opportunity for a marketing professional with 2+ years’ experience who is looking to broaden their skills and gain hands-on experience across digital marketing, content, campaigns, brand, and business development.

Reporting to the General Manager – Digital & Engagement, you’ll work as part of a supportive and collaborative team, helping deliver marketing initiatives that build our brands, engage our clients and support our people.

You don’t need to be an expert in everything. We’re looking for someone who is curious, organised, willing to learn and keen to develop their marketing career.

Key tasks:

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you’ll help coordinate and deliver professional, timely and engaging marketing activities across our brands. Key responsibilities include:

  • Campaigns & Marketing: Assist with coordinating marketing campaigns, including timelines, collateral, approvals, communications and basic reporting.

  • Content & Digital: Create, edit and publish engaging content across websites, social media, email, blogs and internal channels, including adapting technical content for target audiences and multiple brands.

  • Creative & Brand: Create and update marketing and internal materials using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint and Word, while ensuring content remains on-brand.

  • Video & Multimedia: Assist with creating and editing simple video and multimedia content for social media, websites, events, webinars, and internal communications.

  • Business Development & Employer Brand: Support preparation of proposals, presentations, recruitment campaigns, careers content and other client and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Marketing Operations: Help maintain content calendars, marketing records, CRM data and digital asset libraries and coordinate marketing materials with suppliers.

  • Stakeholder & Workflow Management: Work with colleagues across the business to understand briefs, coordinate approvals and keep marketing activities on track.

  • Continuous Improvement: Bring new ideas to the team and look for ways to improve our content, processes and digital marketing activities.

About you:

You’re an early-career marketing professional who is proactive, organised, creative and keen to learn.

You’ll ideally have 2+ years’ experience in a marketing, communications or similar role, and be looking for an opportunity where you can build your experience across a broad range of marketing activities in the professional services industry.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or related discipline.

  • Some experience supporting marketing campaigns, social media and content creation.

  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with an eye for detail.

  • Experience using Canva and Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Cloud experience is an advantage.

  • An interest in digital marketing, websites, email marketing and emerging technologies, including AI.

  • A good eye for presentation, layout and brand consistency.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • A positive, collaborative approach and a willingness to learn, contribute ideas and take ownership of your work.

Experience within the legal or professional services sector will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Why join us:

At Sladen Legal, our people are central to everything we do. We’re committed to creating an environment where you can learn, contribute and develop your career.

We offer:

  • Flexible working options, including working from home and staggered start times.

  • Opportunities to gain experience across a broad range of marketing and communications activities.

  • Additional benefits, including paid life insurance, salary continuance insurance, breakfast and fresh fruit, and discounted corporate health insurance.

  • A collaborative, supportive team environment focused on excellence, trust and innovation.
