Are you a strategic, commercially minded IP lawyer ready to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a talented Senior Associate with 5 years’ post-admission experience to join our Intellectual Property team.

About the Role
This is a permanent opportunity to work in a dynamic and well-established IP practice, advising on a wide range of intellectual property matters. You’ll work directly with a loyal and diverse client base, including SMEs, founders, creatives, and innovators, providing strategic advice across all areas of IP.

We are open to flexible work arrangements, including hybrid or part-time options, and we encourage applications from lawyers looking to shape their own path within a supportive and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
You will:

  • Advise on IP commercialisation, licensing, assignments, supply and distribution agreements

  • Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements in M&A and commercial transactions

  • Identify, protect, and enforce copyright, trade mark, design, patent and PBR rights

  • Manage Australian trade mark applications and oppositions, and advise on global brand protection strategies

  • Work with clients to develop and implement IP protection strategies across various sectors

About You
You’ll bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ PAE, ideally with IP as a primary or significant focus

  • Strong drafting and technical skills with attention to detail

  • A proactive, commercial mindset with the ability to build rapport with clients

  • Experience dealing with IP Australia and/or international IP offices

  • A genuine interest in working closely with clients and contributing to their growth and success
