The controversial windfall gains tax (WGT) has now commenced on 1 July 2023. In this session, our State Taxes and Property teams will examine the application of the regime from both a tax and commercial point of view. This will include:

• An overview of the WGT regime
• Challenging valuations under the new WGT regime
• How the deferral model will work
• Commercial issues arising out the WGT regime
• What contractual terms to include in a contract
