Sladen Legal is a leading commercial law firm dedicated to providing top-tier legal advice and services to private enterprises. Our State Taxes and Superannuation team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join the team on a casual basis, ideally working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from our Melbourne CBD office.
This role is well suited to a law student looking to gain hands-on experience in a commercial law firm while balancing their university studies.
About the role
Working closely with our lawyers, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with drafting correspondence, reports, and legal documents.
Assisting with monthly billing and general file administration.
Conducting legal research and analysing relevant case law.
Coordinating and attending meetings.
Supporting team members in preparing documents and presentations.
Assisting with the preparation of internal and external marketing updates and articles on relevant legal developments.
Managing administrative tasks related to client matters.
Participating in firm CPD sessions and departmental events.

About you
Currently studying a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor.
Available and committed to working ideally three days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) in our Melbourne CBD office.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Excellent time management skills, a proactive approach to deadlines, and high attention to detail.
Full working rights in Australia.
Ideally, at least two years remaining in your law degree.
