Amy Green

Amy is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation team.

Amy has over 6 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on debt recovery, as well as corporate and personal insolvency. Her qualifications include the Australian Restructuring and Insolvency and Turnaround Association’s (ARITA) Advanced Certification, which she completed in 2024.

Over the years, Amy has worked on a variety of commercial matters including those involving breaches of contract, breaches of statutory and/or fiduciary duty(ies), breaches of the Australian Consumer Law, priority disputes under the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth), disputes with respect to legal and equitable interests in real property and claims under the voidable transactions provisions of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and the Bankruptcy Act1966 (Cth).

Amy is no stranger to advocacy in the context of debt recovery - in recent years, she has regularly appeared in the winding up and bankruptcy lists of the Federal Court of Australia, as well as the winding up list of the Supreme Court of Victoria. Amy has also appeared in smaller applications in the County Court of Victoria and the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria. Amy also has experience in providing preventative advice to assist clients with avoiding disputes and litigation.

Amy takes pride in her ability to guide clients through the litigation process, informing them of what they can expect procedurally, and setting realistic expectations with respect to outcomes. Amy favours a pragmatic, no-nonsense approach to dispute resolution that is informed by practical realities and commercial considerations.

Amy is keen to assist individuals and/or corporations, whether they are in need of preventative or reactive advice, in any way that she can, from discussing her views in conference, to providing representation in Court proceedings.
