Kelvin is an associate in Sladen Legal’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution team and has a breadth of experience acting for clients in Australian courts at State and Federal level and tribunals including VCAT.
He has acted for a range of clients, including company directors, shareholders, government agencies, multinationals, insurers, high net worth individuals/families and private companies.
With the team, he helps clients navigate their commercial disputes through each phase, from inception to alternative dispute resolution (mediation, conciliation or arbitration) and trial where necessary. These cases often cover matters relating to the Australian corporations law, consumer protection laws, property and land disputes, contractual disputes, regulatory investigations, insolvency and recovery of debt.
Apart from practising in Australia, Kelvin has also worked in Singapore. He joined the firm from an international law firm where he advised and acted for global companies in international disputes and arbitrations under the LMAA, ICC, SIAC and UNCITRAL rules.
In addition to his fundamental legal qualifications, Kelvin holds a Masters of Laws (LLM) from the University of Melbourne.
